Cleaning

Cleaning is needed to remove moss, algae, fungus and debris and any dead wood/rot. 

If these are not removed the treatment will not soak into the pores of the shake.

If the treatment is applied properly it will prevent re-growth, protect against UV damage

and preserve the cedar shake. 

Composite, Tile & Metal roofs should also be cleaned, but use a different treatment.

The way in which the shake is cleaned is very important!

Never use any kind of surface cleaner on any roof!

This equipment was made and intended to be used only on concrete, driveways, and hard surfaces.

The spinning motion of the cleaner drives water and pressure under the shake.

Doing this will loosen the shake and will cause internal dry rot.
