Seasonal Maintenance is always recommended!

Maintenance of your roof will keep the shake free of debris and preventing premature failure.

You should only use a gentle cleaning system for maintaining your roof.

You should never "broom" your roof!  Or use any kind of wire brush!

The reasons for this is because it will cause scraping off the composite and will take the granules off and expose the underlay material.

With shake roofs, it cuts into the fiber and a broom will not remove debris from major keyways.

Once your roof has been properly cleaned and treated yearly maintenance should be done to keep debris from your roof.  Some homes may need a bi-yearly maintenance if your roof is exposed to a lot of trees, lots of sun, or an area with insects/birds affect your roof.

Otherwise we recommend you do maintenance once a year after the fall & winter has passed.

We always recommend an inspection after any major wind storms or a freeze.

Our maintenance includes a complete blow off to remove built up debris from the roof, valleys and keyways.  A complete gutter cleaning and inspection and up to 10 pieces of shake or composite if needed.  At the 5 year mark a re-treatment should be applied rather than a full wash if needed.
